  7. CBIS Enterprize is an image and Information Management System based on an open
  8. systems architecture. CBIS Enterprize is designed to "image-enable" your
  9. current software, hardware and networking resources by adding state-of-the-art
  10. tools for capturing, manipulating, storing and retrieving document office
  11. information. The system provides the capability to input data through fax,
  12. scan, and import interfaces, manage the data in an optical information
  13. management subsystem, present data on-line or output data through local and
  14. remote print servers and remote fax servers.
  15. CBIS Enterprize is designed to be database and hardware independent. The
  16. system's modular design allows for quick integration of a variety of
  17. peripherals, easy portability and scalability from department to
  18. enterprise-wide networked solutions. The system consists of UNIX-based servers
  19. and DOS/Windows-, Macintosh-, and OS/2/Windows-based clients with the added
  20. capability to connect to existing mainframe-based applications. CBIS
  21. Enterprize provides expanded capabilities for the integration of the
  22. following: image-enabled workflow, COTS GUI front-ends, OCR functions, full
  23. text search and retrieval.
